Police Clearance Certificate Apostille

Police Clearance Certificate Apostille is a crucial part of the legalization process for HCCH Members Countries.

PCC Apostille is required for an employment visa or Long term visa or Residential Visa or migrate to overseas. Because PCC is evidence of a person’s criminal record, in the state where he or she resides. It proves that the said person is not involved in any criminal actions. It is also known as a “Good Conduct Certificate”. So, Police Clearance certificate issued by the Regional Passport Office or Police Station or Special Crime Branch needs to be apostille in India. Apostille stamp is a report which displays a judgment about the authenticity of a Police Clearance Certificate.

Hague member countries demand Apostille on the Original Police Clearance certificate. So, the Apostille stamp should be printed particularly on the original PCC. PCC should be in an obviously better position; all signs and stamps have to be readable and clear. Moreover, it must not contain unusual marking.

MEA: The MEA is Central Government which Authenticate the Police Clearance Certificate. The Ministry of External Affairs must legalize Police Clearance Certificate. It is a special stamp called an Apostille.
